Workshop: Sustainable Business for Entrepreneurs - Make it Simple!
How do you as a small and medium sized business transform the words of sustainability into actions in your business?
The UN has defined 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and developed a framework of a SDG Compass to help businesses integrate values of sustainability into their business operations. However the guide is developed with a focus on large multinational enterprises. How can you as a small and medium sized business use the framework to set your strategy, perform in your everyday operations and create value to your clients?
In the workshop Tina Baltzer will introduce you to the Sustainable Development Goals and share her story about, why she as a one-woman business owner integrates them in her business as a bike tour operator in the Côte d’Azur.
- How did she use the SDG framework when setting the business plan?
- How does she continuously use it as a point of reference, when she operates?
- Why is it useful to her?
- How can the compass benefit your business?
The presentation is followed by an on-hands exercises based on your individual business or work function – where you can try to use the Compass as a reference point.
! Start working with the Sustainable Development Goals Compass – or use them to structure the initiatives on sustainable business, which you already do.
Use this night to give and get feedback on your thoughts of sustainable development aspects to our business plans and on how we can DO more in our everyday operations.
